It appears that the DVLA are paving the way when you look at the list of carer friendly employers. They have become the first member of a new organisation and they have also launched a membership program as well. This is known as being the Employers for Carers and this service has the overall goal of creating a carer-friendly workplace. This has all been backed by the Welsh government and they want to provide hands-on advice to those who need it the most. After all, 1 in 9 are carers in Wales and a lot of them struggle to balance their work with caring for their friends and even their loved ones.
Matt Hancock is from the Health and Social Care division. He has sent out a letter to the sector stating that the government does have preparations for a no-deal Brexit, should this happen.
A number of failings has pushed none other than Dominic Grieve to try and push for a brand new law. The idea is that cameras are going to be compulsory in all public areas. If he is successful then 400,000 vulnerable people would be given a very high level of protection. This would also help to protect carers as well. The urgency is to try and address the scandal of the amount of preventable neglect and this is where the vulnerable and the frail should feel safe. This is going to be one of the many issues that is going to be talked about when Parliament resumes the talks in September. Tony Grieve has come out to say that any potential problems that do exist in care environments are going to be talked about and the favour of them is very strong.
Residents at a care home in Carrickfergus have been given some serious sporting action. The home provides care for over 90 people and this includes those who are currently living with dementia. A lot of the residents have even been using the bar so that they can follow up on all of their favourite sports as well. The replica sports bar has been established to try and give people a home away from home. They were reluctant to join in but now most of them are up for a bit of fun. They enjoy getting up and having a pint as it means that they are able to get away from everything. The staff have also come out to say that they are much happier and they are also able to enjoy the scenery as well.
Nearly 200 paid carers are having to give up their jobs so that they can take care of their loved ones. When you look at the big picture, you will see that this is not acceptable at all and a charity has come out to say this. After all, carers put so much work in every single day to try and make sure that people are always getting the support that they need but at the moment they aren’t getting the support they need to do the job to the best of their ability.
Eating a good, healthy and balanced diet is incredibly crucial if you want to maintain a good level of health. You also need to make sure that you maintain a good level of nutrition as well, but this is easier said than done. After all, when individuals are ill, or even recovering from an operation, the body is much weaker and during this time, you may find it difficult to get all of the nutrition you need.

Hospitality students who attend Edinburgh College have been working very hard. They are going to host a Time for You Carer’s Day on the 8th of March.
If you work in carer jobs or homecare jobs you will understand how important it is to get support from the government. Theresa May has taken some time out from dealing with Russia
