The outcome is said to happen in 2019 but the government seems to be confident in what they are doing. They have said that they will in fact reach a good deal and that this will support healthcare collaboration and even all scenarios that come from it. They have also come out to say that they have some very robust plans in place and that this is going to protect the patients and even the healthcare provision. They have admitted that the government is also putting measures into place to try and manage any implications that might come after Brexit is all over as well. This includes the rules on immigration and even medical research and the funding that supports it. He has also said that the government are going to ensure that the UK have six weeks’ worth of medical supplies via imports in case these happen to be affected if a “no deal” should happen.
If you work in the medical sector, such as in private nursing or even in homecare then you have to make sure that you have 6 weeks of supplies available should there be any delay. This is now widespread information and everyone should take this into consideration. This is even the case for hospitals and doctors as well so that just does go to show how much of an impact all of this is going to have on the industry. That being said, there is no mention of what is going to happen to the HS as of yet but only time will tell.
