Hope of Law is Going to Put CCTV in Every Care Home

A number of failings has pushed none other than Dominic Grieve to try and push for a brand new law. The idea is that cameras are going to be compulsory in all public areas. If he is successful then 400,000 vulnerable people would be given a very high level of protection. This would also help to protect carers as well. The urgency is to try and address the scandal of the amount of preventable neglect and this is where the vulnerable and the frail should feel safe. This is going to be one of the many issues that is going to be talked about when Parliament resumes the talks in September. Tony Grieve has come out to say that any potential problems that do exist in care environments are going to be talked about and the favour of them is very strong.

A lot of people think that this could become law and that the arguments are very strong as well. At the end of the day, people are also concerned about the amount of criminal offenses that are taking part. They have the incentive to try and make sure that this doesn’t happen again and those who work in homecare or even in homecare nursing know how important this is. If you work in private care then you will know that residents cannot always care for themselves and that sometimes they count on staff to help. With staff being so strained however, cameras may be necessary. This is especially the case when you look at those who have dementia as it means that if any violent outbreaks do occur, both parties are completely covered in the instance.
Of course, only time will tell if this all comes through.
