Description


We have a package of care supporting a young male with Learning disabilities.


Care Requirements:

  • Ability to use Visuals and Makaton (ideally) or motivated to Learn.

  • Communication is key and new Staff will be required to attend Communication training specific to the service user provided by ND.

  • Service user is unable to identify risks and needs constant close supervision

  • Dependent on staff to protect him from harm, neglect or health deterioration and anticipate his basic needs.

  • Support with mobility, wheelchair user but can walk with assistance.


Requirements for HCA’s:

  • MUST hold a full UK driving licence and happy to drive the service user's disability vehicle

  • MINIMUM of 6 months UK Healthcare experience

  • MUST be comfortable in the presence of pets (dog)

  • MUST have a current DBS (inside a year or on the update service)

  • MUST have experience supporting service users with Learning disability needs.
