Are you an experienced and dedicated Children's Support Worker looking for flexible and rewarding work?
Nursing Direct is recruiting compassionate Band 4 Children's Support Workers (CSWs) to provide community and complex support to children and young people in Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas.
This rewarding role involves supporting children with a range of additional, complex, and behavioural needs within their homes and local communities. You will work closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to promote independence, wellbeing, confidence, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people with complex needs
Support children within home and community settings
Assist with daily routines, personal care, and activities of daily living where required
Support children to access community activities, social opportunities, and local services
Promote independence, confidence, and life skills development
Encourage emotional wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive engagement
Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
Monitor and report any changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Work collaboratively with families, schools, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
Minimum 6 months' UK experience working as a Children's Support Worker, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, or Carer
Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Caring, patient, and reliable approach
Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Commitment to delivering high-quality, child-centred support
Desirable Experience
Supporting children with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, or additional support needs
Community-based support experience
Complex care experience
Behavioural support experience
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) knowledge
Relevant Health & Social Care, Childcare, or Support Worker qualifications
