Are you an experienced and compassionate Care Support Worker looking for flexible night work that fits around your lifestyle?


Nursing Direct is currently recruiting dedicated Band 4 Carers / Care Support Workers to provide high-quality support to individuals with complex care and support needs in the Lambeth area.


This role offers the opportunity to work night shifts supporting individuals in their own homes and community settings, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life through safe, person-centred care.


Key Responsibilities

As a Band 4 Carer / Care Support Worker, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support

  • Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

  • Support individuals with their daily living activities and promote independence

  • Assist with mobility, repositioning, and maintaining comfort throughout the night

  • Provide emotional support and companionship

  • Monitor and report any changes in a client's physical or emotional wellbeing

  • Support with nutrition, hydration, and meal preparation where required

  • Administer or assist with medication in line with training, competency, and care plans

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures

  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team

  • Ensure clients' dignity, privacy, safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times


Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working as a Carer, Care Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, or within a health and social care setting

  • Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs

  • Experience providing personal care

  • A caring, compassionate, and professional approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work independently and use initiative

  • A flexible and reliable attitude

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals

  • An interest in and availability for regular night shifts
