Are you an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker looking for rewarding work supporting an individual in their own home?

Nursing Direct is recruiting dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to a client in the Feltham area. This role involves supporting an individual with Autism, helping to promote independence, wellbeing, and a positive quality of life while ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.


Available Shifts:

  • Thursdays: 15:30 – 22:00

  • Weekdays: 15:30 – 10:00 (supporting the client when they return home from college)

  • Weekends: 12-hour day and night shifts


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support within the client's home and community

  • Support the client with daily routines and activities

  • Encourage independence and social engagement

  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the client

  • Support emotional wellbeing and provide reassurance when required

  • Manage and respond appropriately to behaviours of concern in line with care plans and risk assessments

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Follow care plans, safeguarding procedures, and organisational policies

  • Work closely with family members and the wider care team to ensure consistent support


Pay Rates:

  • Weekdays: £15.00 per hour

  • Weekday Nights: £16.00 per hour

  • Saturdays: £17.00 per hour

  • Sundays: £19.00 per hour


Requirements

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience supporting individuals with Autism

  • Have experience managing challenging behaviours

  • Are calm, patient, and confident in their approach

  • Are reliable, committed, and able to work flexibly across the required shifts

  • Can provide consistent, person-centred support

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Can work independently and as part of a team

  • Are passionate about supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes and maximise their independence
