If you work with those who have dementia or if you have a job in the homecare industry then you should know that there are some new updates to the way that dementia may be diagnosed. Those who have a job in private nursing and those who work to offer bespoke care packages will know how important it is to offer mental health support. This is especially the case for social workers. The unfortunate reality here though is that there are around 13 million women in the UK right now who are experiencing menopause and a lot of them are living with onset dementia as well.

It can be very difficult to know the difference and at the end of the day, symptoms like brain fog are usually the result of hormones. The problem is that it is very easy to confuse this with dementia. There are now more and more cases of rising onset dementia and a lot of them are linked. Women who have this kind of dementia may find it very difficult to know if their symptoms are being caused by the menopause or if they are living with dementia. The Dementia UK charity has come out to say that they are doing what they can to help women to understand their symptoms and they are also trying to make them much more aware of the treatment options that are available to them too. Only time will tell what the future holds but right now it looks like more has to be done to try and make sure that people are given the support that they need while also ensuring that they are able to function as members of society, without being given the wrong diagnosis for their treatment.

If you work in homecare, or if you offer bespoke care packages then you should know that all bets are off when you look at the pension and benefit system. At the end of the day, this is going to affect the mental health of social workers and it is also going to impact private nursing. She has made a very swift U-turn on her speech saying that she is not a quitter and she has also helped to spark calls for an election. In her resignation speech, she has come out to say that she has in fact delivered very high on energy bills and that she is cutting on national insurance too. It is recognised, given this particular situation that she is not able to deliver the mandate that she promised when she was appointed as being the leader of the conservatives. She is going to try and stay in office until she knows that a new conservative leader is appointed.

Since this news broke out, it is important to know that Rishi Sunak has been appointed as being the head of the party but now everyone is back to square one again. Now it would seem that the conservatives are doing what they can to try and scramble back. They have lost a lot of the faith that the general public once put in them and it looks like they have to step things up a bit as well if they want to keep their political footing. Right now it looks like Rishi could be doing a good job but unfortunately it doesn’t look like this is going to last as a lot of people have lost faith in the party and their empty promises.
