Without a Social Care Investment, Patients are More at Risk

If you work in the sector of homecare or if you work in private nursing then you should know that patients are at an increased risk if no investments are made. This is especially the case when you look at the mental health care that is being given. Of course, the mental health of social workers and those who offer bespoke care packages are also going to be affected as well.

Only two out of five people are actually able to leave hospital when they are ready, and it looks like the CQC chief has sent out a warning saying that there has to be a step up in change and that more has to be done to try and retain social care staff. People are going to be at an increased risk of harm if something is not done here as well. The CQC have come out with an annual assessment and they have said that over the last year, it would seem that the health system is at a gridlock and that it is not going to be able to work as well as it could.

It has been reported that most people are actually receiving very good care, when they are able to access it of course. The one thing is that too often, they are not able to get the care that they need. In addition to this it would seem that social care has been reduced and that there is an unmet need too. Something has to change here at the end of the day and more has to be done to make sure that everyone is not only given the support they need, but that they are also receiving a level of care that is appropriate for their needs.
