Steve Barclay has come out to say that this is the worst flu season that the country has seen in well over a decade. If you work in private nursing, then there is a high chance that you have seen a decline in mental health for those who work as social workers as well as those who offer bespoke care packages. If you work in private nursing or if you work in homecare then you are far more at risk of catching it as well. The health secretary has come out to say that he has strong feelings of regret for patients who are not receiving a good standard of care.

Figures have shown that more and more people are now sick with the flu and that numbers are going up all the time. Barclay has said that the rise has happened very quickly and that it has happened far earlier than expected as well. At the end of the day, delayed discharges have not contributed well at all to the current situation and this has doubled the numbers which is the last thing that anyone needs. Of course, there has been a lot of criticism regarding the way that the government have handled the pandemic so far and it looks like things are only going to get worse from here. Who knows what the future holds but right now it looks like not enough is being done to try and support those who need it. A lot of people are trying to do what they can to prevent strikes as well but this is not proving to be successful. The plans for the future are unclear right now but the government are trying to do what they can to book more beds residential homes.
