RCN are Calling for an Inquiry for Covid-19 to be Expedited

Dominic Cummings is now giving evidence over at the Commons Health and Science committee. The inquiry is going to be done to try and make sure that the UK did everything they could to make sure that things were dealt with. This is to try and make sure that Dominic Cummings’ statements are not overlooked. He believes that thousands of people died when they did not need to, including those who are in the profession of homecare or even in private nursing. He said that when he came back, the first meeting in the war room was a disaster as they talked about PPE.

Boris Johnson was not fit for the job at all, some people believe. Matt Hancock has also stated that he should have been fired at least 15 times over due to the mistakes that he made. He has also come out to say that the things that happened were almost criminal. The Prime Minister has stated that the way that all of this was handled was not good and that he simply dismissed the virus as being the new swine flu. He has also stated that it is just a scare story and that there is nothing to worry about. The UK was not prepared when the country had to go into the first lockdown and that more needed to be done about this to make sure that people are not put in the same situation again. Johnson agreed to have a month-long lockdown but many believe that this simply happened too late.

In evidence, Cummings has stated that Boris Johnson lied about various statements and that this is not good to say the least, given the state of the UK at the time the virus started to take over.
