Nursing Direct is seeking compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) with paediatric experience to provide specialist care for children and young people with complex health needs in their own homes across North London.
In this role, you will support children living with a range of complex conditions, including neurological disorders, spinal injuries, genetic or congenital conditions, acquired brain injuries, and long-term health needs. You will work closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, individualised care that ensures each child’s safety, comfort, and well-being.
What we are looking for:
- NMC-registered Nurse (adult, child, or learning disability) with demonstrable paediatric experience
- Experience caring for children with complex medical needs in community or homecare settings
- Competence in delivering clinical interventions such as tracheostomy care, ventilator support, gastrostomy feeding, and seizure management (as required)
- A patient, empathetic, and professional approach with a strong commitment to family-centred care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to care planning
Key responsibilities:
- Providing safe, effective clinical care in the home, including airway management, enteral feeding, medication administration, and monitoring
- Supporting personal care needs while upholding dignity and respect
- Promoting the child’s comfort, safety, and emotional well-being at all times
- Keeping detailed and accurate care records, and contributing to care reviews and risk assessments
- Supporting the child’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through compassionate, holistic care
- Acting as an advocate for the child and family
