If you work in private nursing, homecare, mental health or with social workers who happen to offer bespoke care packages then you will know how important it is to meet the current demands. At the end of the day, the total demand for care has gone up over time and this is largely due to the aging population. Now it looks like there are over 950,000 people in the UK who are receiving domiciliary care. In order to try and meet this need, it looks like the number of registrations who are with the CQC have increased. When you look at the first quarter of the year 2023, it’s not hard to see that a ton of new providers have now registered and that this is now an increase of over 32%. With the number of providers who are working in the market currently, it is safe to say that a lot of business success will come down to the clients who are providing care and the circle that connects care. Tech can support the objectives through improving communication as well as operational efficiency. The increased demand for care means that carers and agencies will have to do more to try and meet the homecare need. It looks like there is also a lot of demand for the aging population and that people are now experiencing more long-term disabilities. They need help with daily duties and at the end of the day, it doesn’t look like they are being given it. Only time will tell what the future holds but right now homecare demands are not being met and the only way this is going to change is if more is done to give support to those who need it the most. This can only happen through more staffing.

The mental health and homecare sector has been under funded for quite some time. If you work in private nursing or if you offer a range of bespoke care packages for social workers then you will know how dire the situation is sometimes. The CWC have come out to say that they have now handed out well over 10,000 grants that are worth well over £5.6 million. They have done this since they started out in the year 2009. The achievement really does help to highlight how committed they are to helping to better the lives of those around them. Of course, they want to do everything they can to care for others and since they launched, they have been at the forefront when it comes to supporting carers. This is especially the case when you look at them during their time of need. The 10,000 grants show a significant contribution when it comes to the lives of care workers. This is especially the case when you look at the emotional and financial assistance that could be required during everyone’s time of need. Personal hardship is a huge issue and at the end of the day, it enables people to cope with unexpected expenses way better. This happens to include housing costs as well as things such as car repairs and various other essential items. Of course, therapy as well as mental health are also included. First aid training is so important to those who work in homecare and it is interesting to see how much things have changed over the years. That being said, more has to be done in order to make sure that this positive trend continues. Follow this story if you want to learn more about the latest updates.

If you work in the sector of homecare then you will be glad to know that the industry, that also supports private nursing and those who offer bespoke care packages, is now celebrating its 75th anniversary. This is going to benefit social workers as well as those who work in mental health. It would seem that 75 years ago, the National Health Service was formed, and this helped to make healthcare free for anyone. It would also be free as well, which is great to say the least. The new system is designed to try and make sure that those who need healthcare would not be discriminated against because of their age or their income. At the same time, you also had the National Assistance Act. This slid into statute. The act, at the end of the day, helped to form this social care system. It is fully designed to protect those who are in need, and this is great to say the least. From the very start, the NHS and those who work in tandem with it are trying to meet people’s needs. There is a huge demand for healthcare, and it seems that people are being delayed in their discharge from hospital. This has led to an even higher response time and it would seem that there are also growing wait times for the diagnosis and treatment of those who may need it. The government is now being called upon so that people can keep on investing in social care as well as ensuring that it is possible to grow and develop the workforce. Of course, only time will tell what is going to happen but the tech that is being released right now would greatly benefit the NHS. It is an unfortunate reality that the sector cannot afford it.

Age UK are now calling for people to switch from what would be acute hospital care to prevention-based care. If you work in private nursing, then you will know how important it is to make sure that everyone is given the standard of care that they deserve. If you work in private nursing, work with social workers or even support people with their mental health then you will understand that more has to be done to try and offer support for older people. If this can be done, then the pressure from the older population could well be alleviated which would mean that it is easier to look after those who are genuinely in need. Age UK have released a statement saying that in the year 2019, there was a total of 855,000 new admissions for older people. If the older people received the right standard of support from an earlier date, before the small health problems turned into something more severe then this would be much easier, and people would not need as much clinical support. The report says that there are now glimmers of hope and that the community Falls Services are doing everything they can to give support to those who really need it. Right now, the availability is somewhat patchy though and this is making it much more difficult for people to get the kind of care that they need. Discharges play a vital part in the care sector and right now, it is helping people to live well at home. With enough funds for home-based care, it would seem that it is more than possible for people to live a longer and happier life. More has to be done though, to facilitate this happening so keep that in mind when following this story.
