Position: Registered Mental Health Nurse - Agency and Contracted Basis

Payrates: £28.00 - £35.00 (PAYE) paid weekly, via Nursing Direct/Nursdoc.

Hours: Flexible hours to suit your schedule, we can offer 1 - 5 shifts a week dependant on what you're looking for.

Job Description: As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health and learning difficulty conditions. Working on an agency and contracted basis, you will provide personalized care to patients in their own homes, helping them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive mental health assessments and develop personalized care plans
Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects
Offer emotional support, counseling, and therapy to patients
Assist with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility
Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies
Requirements:

Valid registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) NMC registration
12 months UK nursing experience
Prior experience in mental health nursing, preferably in a community or home care setting
Ability to provide person-centered care and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Excellent assessment, observation, and documentation skills
Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach towards patients
