- Description
Nursing Direct and our sister company, Nursdoc, are currently recruiting a compassionate and reliable Care Support Worker to join our team in supporting a 13-year-old male on a 2:1 care basis in Wandsworth.
This role is ideal for experienced care professionals who are passionate about working with young people and supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Generalised Anxiety Disorder, while delivering safe, structured, and person-centred care.
Role details:
- Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
- Saturdays: 10:00 – 17:30
- Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
- Work Pattern: Day shifts, including weekends
- £15 - £17 per hour
Client profile:
- 13-year-old male
- 2:1 support
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) & ADHD
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environment
- Build and maintain a trusting, positive relationship with the service user
- Encourage engagement with activities and home-based schooling
- Support emotional regulation and anxiety management
- Promote independence, confidence, and overall well-being
- Assist with daily routines and structured activities
- Administer medication on occasion, in line with care plans and protocols
- Follow personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Adhere to safeguarding, compliance, and infection control procedures
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 6 months UK care experience in a similar role
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD and ADHD
- Calm, patient, and confident approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a 2:1 support team
- Valid Enhanced DBS (within the last year or on the Update Service)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
