- Description
- Nursing Direct are looking for multiple carers/support workers who are tracheostomy trained or who have experience with caring for a client who has a tracheostomy. The package is for a 19 year old male who has been diagnosed with the following:
- progressive motor neurone disease
- respiratory failure
- Dependent on 24/7 invasive ventilation via tracheostomy.
The care requirements for this package are:
- Monitor his temperature
- Continually check all devices are connected
- Administer nebulisers and other medication
- Assist with Physio exercises and massaging
- Application of hand splints
- Change the tracheostomy
- Suctioning
- Repositioning throughout the night

- Safeguarding adults level 2 / SOVA 2
- Medication trained
- Experience in supporting a client who has complex medical conditions
