- Nursing Direct are looking to appoint a Registered Learning Disability Nurse to work within a SEN School based in South London.
The Role
we currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Special School Nursing Service.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Special School Nurse who is looking to develop their skills in the largest community healthcare trust in London.
The post is based at a special school in the inner borough of Wandsworth.
Hours
We are looking for a nurse to work 3 days a week in a 3 month post.
Pay
£35 - £40ph (LTD Company) which will be paid weekly into your preferred account every Friday.
Requirements
- You will be a registered nurse, trained in either children’s, adults or learning disability nursing, and have up to date clinical nursing skills to care for children with complex health needs such as epilepsy and tracheostomy care.
- You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible to the needs of the children and the service, and have good organisational skills.
- You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of safeguarding and be confident in delivering training to school staff and carers.
- You will be responsible for implementing assessments, management of medical clinics, provision of clinical care, management of medication, safeguarding and support to education staff, parents and students, ensuring a high quality service for the children on roll in the school.
