COMMUNITY CARE ASSISTANT (FREE training provided)

Nursing Direct is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support individuals with complex care needs in Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas of Sussex.

As a Complex Carer, you will provide vital support to clients living with a range of complex conditions, including neurological disorders, spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, learning disabilities, and long-term health conditions. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, personalised care in both community and home settings.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Proven experience in delivering care to individuals with complex needs.
• Training or hands-on experience in personal care tasks, including assisting with daily routines, nutrition, and hygiene.
• A compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to care plans and positive behaviour support strategies.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with personal care, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing.
• Supporting daily routines and activities.
• Managing challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
• Supporting the administration of medication (where applicable).
• Promoting the social, emotional, and developmental well-being of clients.
