The NHS Assembly: Making sure that People are Heard

The policy officer over at NHS Providers have worked hard to try and outline how the assembly is going to explain the long-term plan. In October, they welcomed the announcement and they also identified the core features that need to be changed too. They have stated that the assembly would need to be given a clear purpose and vision too. They need to be aligned with the long-term plan and they also need to be underpinned by a very realistic task. This is especially the case when you look at the health sector.

The diversity of the whole group is certainly a positive step and it ensures that the voices of all of those who need it are heard. It is their job to try and bring together policymakers and they are also going to try and bring health system leaders into it as well. Those who work in private nursing or homecare will understand this.

This is even more the case if you look at the long-term plan for January. This has brought to light the full scale of the plan and it also shows how much ambition people have for the NHS too. The NHS certainly needs to undergo some level of transformation and this has all been described in the plan. They want to improve the care on the whole front and they also want to help people with their mental health and physical health too. This is especially the case for those who work in health care or even social care. When you look at the fact that the NHS is going to transform and the fact that they are going to succumb to rising demand, you soon find that there are certainly good things to come.

Of course, only time will tell if this is going to be the case but right now, a change needs to be made and it is up to the NHS assembly to make that happen.
