Shock at the Step-Down Guidance for Care Homes

It would seem that a lot of care home operators have been left in a state of shock as the new guidance for care homes has been released. They have instructed that now is the time for people to step down the precautions that need to be taken in regards to things such as social distancing. Of course, you also have the department of health and social care, and they have been putting the guidance in place since the year 2020.

Care homes have stated that there is a huge risk involved here. If you are seeking Sheffield healthcare jobs, then you will know what a concern this is as there are patients who are now being discharged into care homes and they are not being tested first. It would seem that this is going to replicate the very dangerous situation that we saw a couple of months ago and this is not good to say the least. Even before the statement regarding the new variant, it would seem that this did not make much sense at all. You had the aftermath of the developments and you also had the fact that this guidance is just dangerous. If you look at Sheffield healthcare jobs you will also see that they have increased over time at a very steady rate. It would seem that more and more people are not giving much thought or concern to the fact that they are losing out on staff because of the required vaccine mandate and that there are now not enough staff to care for those who actually need it. If there were infections then this would only add to the pressure, creating a very dire situation overall. More needs to be done to ensure that history does not end up repeating itself.
