A letter was also sent by the NHS England to the practice managers. This was done earlier in the month and primary health services are going to be starting the whole process of inviting GPs again. They are doing this on a three-year basis and this is going to be part of the NHS and their commitment to trying to reduce the administrative burden that is on practices. They are trying to adopt the forward view and they are also trying to standardise and even simplify the patient quality check process. They are also working with PCSE to try and restart this data quality work. The letter has been designed and signed by the managing director and soon they will start recommencing the process of inviting GP practices every three years. They are also going to try and reconcile their patient list as well. Practices are going to request an email from the PCSE and this will outline all of the steps that they need to take in order to try and give their patients more support while also trying to make sure that they cleanse their system of anyone who is not going to need the service anytime soon so do keep that in mind.
Capita are Going to Relaunch their GP List Campaign to Try and Cut Down on Ghost Patients
If you work in private nursing or even in homecare then you will understand more than anyone how annoying it can be to have ghost patients. The giant Capita are going to start their own process of trying to clean out millions of ghost patients from their ghost list. Capita have originally stated that they are going to clear out patients who no longer attend the practice but this was halted early because they faced a ton of criticism from the BMA.
